Fire Resistant
Surprisingly few construction materials used in homes are treated for fire resistance including most insulation products. FIBER-LITE is treated with a permanent fire retardant chemical (borate) and offers superior fire protection for the homeowner compared to fiberglass and foam insulation. FIBER-LITE Cellulose Insulation will slow or stop the spread of fire in the wall cavities and attic areas, with no harmful off-gassing. Independent testing by the National Research Council of Canada concludes that cellulose insulation is as much as 55% more fire resistant than fiberglass insulation.
